deep into the breezed tropical night
---------------------------------------------------

Every night after the day has long ended,
we don our bathing suits and leave the room.
A short warm walk hand in hand,
finds us strolling under the moon.
Lady Luck smiles and the tropical gazebo is ours alone,
a warm wet sign of addition amongst the blooms.

You turn the knob stirring the warm languid waters,
and move to the chairs to deposit your things.
I remove my special sea shirt and sandals,
and think of the joy holding you here brings.
As you walk around the pool to the descending stairs,
I prepare and light my cigar and remove its rings.

Watching you ease into the pool,
I light my cigar and feel the breeze tug at the smoke.
Your sinuous form submerging with a ripple,
and speaking to me without a word being spoke.
Easing over the side I sit on the ledge,
and you come to me with easy strokes.

Legs and arms entwine in a precursory embrace,
as we share our cigar under a cool moonlight.
Discussing the big and small issues of life,
deep into the breezed tropical night.
Stopping from time to time to kiss,
or watch the bats in wild flight.

Holding your warm yielding form close I look to the stars,
the palms swaying gently in symphony to our hearts.
Waving fronds caressing a midnight sky,
making a mystery of our fate with obscured parts.
Enough revealed to know what fills me now,
is only how the future starts.
